Hapé (ha-peh, also called rapé)

A sacred snuff made from tobacco, ash and various plants or trees. Different blends create different effects: grounding, cleansing, energizing or calming. It is taken through the nose with traditional tools. A kuripe is used to give it to yourself, and a tepi (pictured) is used when someone else offers it to you.

Hapé clears the mind of intrusive thoughts and realigns the body’s energetic field. It strengthens connection to the higher self and opens the third eye, an opening that blue lotus will later build on during elixir ceremony.

In jungle traditions, tobacco is revered as a sacred plant known as grandfather. It holds the energy of the sacred masculine, strengthening boundaries and clearing personal space.

Kambo

Kambo is a profound medicine that we truly lack the language to fully describe. It is a peptide secretion gathered from the back of the Amazonian giant monkey tree frog. The peptides are the frog’s natural protection, so harvesters take care not to collect too much. The frog itself is a docile, gentle creature that seems willing to share its medicine with people.

Kambo creates a strong physical, energetic and emotional purge. It is sometimes called an Amazonian detox, and sometimes the vaccine of the jungle. Traditionally it is used to lift heavy energy, known in the Amazon as panema. People come to it to break patterns, shift perspective and reset body and nervous system.

It is applied through gates, small surface burns on the skin. They sting for a moment, and Beth will help you care for them afterward.

Plant baths

Plant consciousness is highly advanced, and often underestimated. When we ingest plants, they work with our bodies biochemically. When we bathe in them, they work with our consciousness and how it meets the world. Bathing in a plant opens a line of communication with its healing intelligence, so we can download imprints directly and integrate what we receive as we move through our healing journey.
